Facility/Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Nushagak Cooperative seeks applicants for the position of Facility/Vehicle Maintenance Technician. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, a valid Alaska driver’s license, the ability to lift 50 lbs. and the ability to operate heavy equipment. Other professional certifications and utility specific training are desired. This individual must have good communications skills, both verbal and written.

The selected candidate would maintain fleet vehicles, commercial vehicles, construction equipment and tools in good working condition. The candidate would also perform routine maintenance of buildings and equipment, grounds keeping, and provides minor repairs, adjustments, resetting or troubleshooting of systems. Occasionally it may require fieldwork; must be able to work in variable weather conditions.

Network Services Supervisor

Nushagak Cooperative is seeking applicants for the position of Network Services Supervisor. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, with at least two years of directly applicable experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The selected candidate will perform supervisory duties to ensure proper construction and maintenance of telecom facilities. Additionally, the selected candidate will provide technical support for the Cooperative’s electronic information systems including the local area network, and the Internet services provided by the Cooperative via the Outside Plant (OSP) compromised of the Copper and Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) plants, Point to Point Microwave transmissions, network systems, servers, circuits, middle mile backbones, workstations, printers, circuit boards and other infrastructure hardware and associated software.

Salary range is $43.98/hr. - $57.73/hr. DOE. Electric Operations Manager

Nushagak Cooperative seeks applicants for the position of Electric Operations Manager. Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or a high school graduate with substantial postgraduate training and directly applicable experience in electrical utility systems, at least ten years of work experience, of which at least five years has been in a supervisory role directly applicable to the responsibilities of this position and this individual must have good communications skills, both verbal and written.

The selected candidate would assist the CEO/GM in all aspects of providing reliable, and safe electric service to Cooperative members. Responsibilities include: day-to-day administration of internal operations, being responsive to service requirements of all Nushagak Cooperative members by providing adequate and reliable electric, telephone and cable television services through efficient construction, operation, replacement, removal, and maintenance of utility plant in compliance with industry and regulatory standards, and monitors adherence to electric approved budgets and work plans. May serve as acting CEO/GM in absence of the CEO/GM.

Salary range is $56.94/hr. - $64.37/hr. DOE. Power Plant Operator

Central Office Technician

Nushagak Cooperative seeks applicants for the position of Central Office Technician. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma and/or GED, four years of experience with a relevant technical background, and telecommunication experience is necessary. Must have and maintain a valid Alaska driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Metaswitch, Cisco, and Juniper certifications are preferred.
